TUMBLEWEEDS!!!

This is our neighbor's house down the alley. They are going to be shocked when they try and get out of their garage. It is literally a wall of tumbleweeds!!

Elizabeth's new do. I think it totally changes her appearance. It is amazing what a new style does.

Thomas asleep with his favorite things - cartoon action figures. And his favorite new passtime - video games - esp Frogger! Notice the intense look on his face!

One of many strange sleeping positions that I find Elizabeth in...check out the leg on the right...
Elizabeth and Thomas

Dancing together with music from the Oscars, Thomas patiently sitting while Elizabeth fixes his hair, and watching a movie together. I love that they enjoy each other so much.

I didn't really have a name to call what I am going to write about. Just an update.
Valentine's Day was very nice. I subbed that day but Cody was off and picked me and the kids up from school. We took them to Gran and Papa's house so we could get a couples massage (that just means we are in the same room getting individual massages-in case any of you didn't know). After that we went to see "Catch & Release". I love Jennifer Garner and it was Valentine's so Cody thought it would be okay to watch a "chick flick". We then went to our favorite Japanese place in Lubbock - Yamagata - it was really good and we were full. We met a really nice newly wed and pregnant couple at our table and had a nice visit with them. While we were there it started to snow - alot. We were really glad we went to the movie first.
Not much else going on around here besides going to my uncle's memorial service, Cody getting used to his new schedule for work, me substituting and trying to do all my housework around that and visiting my Memaw in the hospital every week. In the last 3 wks she has been hospitalized 3 x. But I think this last visit might have helped a great deal. She had an obstruction that was not letting her digest her food and so it wasn't going anywhere and she was not getting any nourishment, but that has been fixed so I think she is on the mend. She is real sweet lady.
Elizabeth got a haircut the other day - I will post pics later and I am contimplating doing it myself. I get tired of messing with it. I do this every so often. I cut my hair, let it grow then cut it off again. We'll see.
Love you all.

Facing the Giants!!!

I have been told how great this movie is, but I was still so awed by it. This movie was put on by members of a church so the acting isn't what you would call top notch, but I have also seen a lot worse by professionals. It is the story that gets you. I loved it because it was so true to the Word and what the Word tells us about faith. We are to trust Him in everything and believe that anything is possible when we give Him the glory in good times and in bad.
Praise God that there are people out there who are willing to make movies about faith in Christ. This movie made at least a couple of million dollors and it didn't even come close to costing that much to make.
God is sooo good and if you haven't seen this movie you need to. It was awesome!!!!

My Favorite Picture...

This is a picture of my grandmother with her brother, my uncle who just went home to be with the Lord.

My grandmother just had her hair done for this picture. I don't know how old they were but I just think they look so sweet.

Some people have told me that I look like my grandmother in that picture - probably more so when I was younger. But I always thought that was such a compliment because I thought she was beautiful.

My unlce was also a very handsome man, who always had a smile on his face. He was so sweet and loving.

They both are greatly missed but I look forward to seeing them again when I get to heaven.
